Alex Collopy Rosenwald, Ph.D.

Alex provides play and talk therapies for children aged 3+, adults, families, and couples at Wasatch Family Therapy in Sandy and in Farmington, UT. She is supervised by Dr. Clair Mellenthin, PhD, LCSW. She is not currently accepting new clients, but anticipates openings in late July 2026.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, Alex provided Child- Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) at A Child’s Place in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alex has worked in a wide range of preschools including psychoanalytic, Reggio- Emilia- informed, Montessori, campus- based, church- based, and social & emotional- focused programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Utah. In addition to applying principles from psychoanalysis to classroom observations and play experiences, Alex treasures opportunities to engage with children using open- ended sustainable materials, Vivian Paley’s storytelling method, tools from scholarship in Embodied Awareness, and her yoga teacher training.
