Clinical and School- based Work

Alex is accepting new clients aged 3+ for psychoanalytically- oriented play therapy, as well as adults, families, and couple therapy at Wasatch Family Therapy in Sandy, UT. She is supervised by Dr. Clair Mellenthin, PhD, LCSW UT #5228904-3501.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, Alex provided Child- Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) at A Child’s Place in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alex has worked in a wide range of preschools including psychoanalytic, Reggio- Emilia- informed, Montessori, campus- based, church- based, and social & emotional- focused programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Utah. In addition to applying principles from psychoanalysis to classroom observations and play experiences, Alex treasures opportunities to engage with children using open- ended sustainable materials, Vivian Paley’s storytelling method, tools from scholarship in Embodied Awareness, and her yoga teacher training.
